Certification Manager
A certification is a special designation in Evolve Learning Manager assigned to one or more courses representing a formal, standalone training program. It enables organizations to match company initiatives with the best employees, select qualified employees internally and employee development.
The module can be thought of as a guide to performance planning—it walks managers and employees through the necessary steps to accomplish a learning path, curriculum, or certification. Progress along the learning path is tracked via the LMS, with a variety of reporting features to be used by managers for employee development planning.
The certification management tool enables managers and administrators to:
- develop curriculum plans
- add individual learning tasks
- assign due dates
- provide advance reminders via e-mail.
Tasks and events may include any number of online courses, instructor-led classes, tests, assignments and surveys, thereby supporting a fully blended approach to learning and development.
Certification Templates
A group of related tasks and events form a “certification” or curriculum. The administration features can create a certificate to be assigned to individual employees, a group of employees or globally. The certification can be categorized and stored for later use, or modified for different employee groups and situations. Training administrators and managers can generate reports on employees or groups of employees. This can be used in career management, employee-development planning, candidate selection, skill reviews, managing professional and technical certifications, tracking recertification deadlines, and regulatory compliance.
Whether your organization uses Management By Objectives (MBO), a Competency Model, Skill Set Assessments, certification, self-directed development, or a combination of methods to manage employee performance and development, "Certifications" can be used to effectively link corporate objectives and strategies to skill development activities.
Administrative Functionality
The Certification time saving administration features allows administrators to create any number of predefined certificates or that can be assigned to an employee or “globally” to a group of employees. All activity within a student’s certificate is tracked and progress recorded via the LMS.
